Gurgling sounds from fuel pump normal...?

last night while changing out a tailight i turned the key to check the light and heard the fuel pump running for the first time standing next to the truck. it was making a lot of gurgling sounds like there was a bunch of air in the line... is this normal?

edit: it only did it that one time. never heard that sound again.

That is not normal and I hope there wasn't air in the lines as that can wreck havoc on the entire fuel system.

Was the fuel level low?? or under 1/4 tank??

The in tank outlet bites, at least the stock one does. I would recommend the ITP kit to do away with the junk that came in it.

I can't wait for an excuse to drop the tank on the new truck. It sucks filling it up without the hutch mod. I will also do the ITP kit in the tank if it comes out.

That doesn't work. We are talking trucks not trailers.
